We are seeing an increasing amount of mycoplasma pneumonia, commonly known as βwalking pneumoniaβ, in our office. Many times, children with mycoplasma are not sick enough to present to the doctorβs office as their symptoms are that of a common cold. However, if your child has fever, worsening cough, shortness of breath or wheezing, they may need to be treated with an antibiotic. Please see attached link for more information.
